The funnel of NCL Norwegian Cruise Line
The funnel of a large ship is a complex structure that requires long construction and preparation times. Inside, in fact, in addition to the flues, there is a series of machinery for the ventilation and air conditioning systems, various pipes intended to serve various on-board systems and a system of stairs and balustrades that allow accessibility to every part of the structure. We at Cartubi recently created the funnel for one of the three sister ships on which we are collaborating on behalf of NCL Norwegian Cruise Line and we can truly be satisfied with the result obtained.
The imposing structure was built in our shipyards and then transported to the Porto Marghera shipyards. This structure was conceived in 3 distinct parts, for a total of approximately 600 tons of steel and aluminium, including the pre-fitting of all the machinery and structures necessary for its operation and its placement on board. For this important order we also provided, for completeness, the barge transport service, thus offering the client a complete package and trying to fully meet his organizational and commercial needs.
