Cartubi Shipyard
The CARTUBI shipyard operates on vessels employed in many very different fields and has developed significant expertise in both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, including military vessels. Recently, on March 12, 2024, after an intervention for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance at our facilities, the fast patrol boat VNL-11 Triglav, serving in the Slovenian Navy, was launched.
The vessel is a Svetlyak-class patrol boat built at ALMAZ Shipbuilding in St. Petersburg in 2010 and is now stationed at the naval base in Isola. With a displacement of 355 tonnes, a length of 49.5 m, and a width of 9.2 m, this patrol boat can reach a maximum speed of 30 knots thanks to 3 MTU 400 diesel engines with 16,200 hp (12,100 kW).
Due to its unique characteristics, the VNL-11 Triglav is a vessel capable of performing various tasks in both civilian and military domains, ranging from coastal patrols to support for underwater operations, from search and rescue to coastal reconnaissance, and, of course, naval combat.
We carried out the maintenance of this military vessel with the commitment and enthusiasm we dedicate to every one of our projects, thus leveraging our specific expertise in the military sector, which complements our expertise in many other areas of navigation and offshore structure maintenance.
