In Palermo for the Saipem 10000 special survey
Our teams have been operating at the Palermo shipyard since early April 2026 for the five-year class renewal campaign of Saipem 10000, a drilling unit that is widely recognised as a benchmark in deepwater operations worldwide.
Over the coming months, we will be engaged in a comprehensive programme of inspections, major maintenance activities, replacements and upgrades involving systems that are critical to the vessel’s operation.
Particular attention will be devoted to the drilling and subsea systems, the operational core of the unit, while also addressing propulsion, structures, onboard systems and lifting equipment.
The weeks ahead will involve intensive work.
Our objective is clear: to ensure that the unit returns to service with the levels of reliability, safety and operational efficiency required by the offshore industry, while fully meeting the schedule established for the shutdown period.
