We’re talking about mechanical, piping and welding activities carried out by divers. Underwater operations in which technical requirements meet the complexity of the underwater environment.

Underwater, movement is slow and visibility is limited. The diver must be able to rely — without hesitation — on the team at the surface. The connection is direct: one person at the surface guides their teammate in the water; breathing systems, radio communication and video links are maintained continuously and integrated into the specialized diving helmet. Every phase is monitored in real time and recorded on dedicated storage systems. There is always a standby diver ready to intervene throughout all stages of the dive. No one is ever left alone.

The key word in these activities is preparedness — preparation in the most concrete sense of the term: reaching the operation after a complete analysis, with defined procedures and aligned roles. It means coordinating, checking and supervising both before and during the intervention.

Only precise, competent and present management makes the work safe and of high quality. The effectiveness of any underwater operation depends on the strength of what happens at the surface.
